Christine Lentz, president of the Police Athletic League of Kansas City and Dan Crumb, CFO of the Kansas City Chiefs shared the shears that ceremonially opened the new football field Wednesday at Blue Valley Recreation Center near 18th Street and White Avenue. The Chiefs, the National Football League, the NFL Players Association and Local Initiatives Support Corporation joined forces to provide $100,000 for the field.
