PAL Gardening

Through the PAL Gardening program, the kids get to partner with other members of our community, like the Saint Paul School of Theology, to help them plant and cultivate vegetables in their raised garden beds.  Additionally we have several raised beds on site where the kids learn to grow a variety of foods and are involved in the entire process.  The PAL kids had the opportunity to taste carrot cake made from last year’s harvest, which they planted.  During this endeavor we also got a lesson in Native American History while planting "sister circles" also known as the "three sister garden." When Mother Nature decides, we will be planting our raised beds here at the PAL Center.
